Resistive and Passive Stretching
Your therapist will exercise the full range of motion. At the point of full range you will push back and release. You will contract and lengthen the muscle at the same time. This technique produces immediate, cumulative, and permanent improvement in flexibility and strength. It eliminates traumatized accumulated dense fascia surrounding the muscle.
Fascia is a thin, tough, elastic type of connective tissue that wraps most structures within the human body, including muscle and skeletal. It can become restricted due to psychogenic disease, overuse, trauma, infections, or inactivity, resulting in pain, muscle tension and restricted blood flow.
Myofascial Release is an effective hands-on therapy which can directly change and improve health of the fascia by breaking down scar tissue and relaxing your muscles and myofascia. Myofascial Release techniques focus on relaxing the deep tissue of the body providing lasting and effective relief.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is a gentle massage that encourages the natural drainage of the lymphatic system. The lymph system carries waste products away from the body back to the heart. MLD uses specific amounts of pressure and rhythmic circular movements to move the lymph in specific directions and to stimulate lymph flow.
Also known as zone therapy, reflexology is the application of pressure to the feet and hands with specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques without the use of oil or lotion. It is based on a system of zones and reflex areas that reflect an image of the body on the feet and hands, that when treated, effects a physical change to the body.

Focusing on a specific problem, such as chronic muscle pain, injury rehabilitation, deep tissue massage uses firm pressure and slow strokes to reach deeper layers of muscle and fascia. It’s used to break up scar tissue and physically break down muscle “knots” or adhesions (bands of painful, rigid tissue) that can disrupt circulation and cause pain, limited range of motion, and inflammation. At the beginning of the massage, lighter pressure is generally applied to warm up and prep the muscles and then let the healing begin.

Gua sha is a healing technique of traditional East Asian medicine. Sometimes called ‘coining, spooning or scraping’, Gua sha is defined as instrument-assisted unidirectional press-stroking of a lubricated area of the body surface.
Raising sha removes blood stagnation, increases blood circulation, breaks down and realigns fascia. Modern research shows the transitory therapeutic petechiae produce an anti inflammatory and immune protective effect that persists for days following a single Gua sha treatment. A great treatment for anyone who experiences chronic pain.
